BRICKELL

Welcome to Brickell

An enticing Manhattan-esque atmosphere and tropical vibes

Towering skyscrapers with gorgeous condominiums and world-class hotels paint the skyline of Brickell. The neighborhood rests on the edge of the Miami River and Biscayne Bay and is known as Miami’s financial district. While business deals are made here, Brickell strives to be more than that, and it shows. The pulse of Brickell has started to quicken and fill the area with a renewed sense of interest and vibrancy. From dining and shopping to a thriving nightlife, Brickell has become the Manhattan of the south — the ultimate place to be.

The neighborhood was named after Will and Mary Brickell. They established a trading post in the area in 1871. Brickell carries on their tradition with its bold, contemporary-facing atmosphere and international reach. Young, business-savvy professionals are anxious to come here and make their mark. They want to work hard and play harder while enjoying the fruits of their bounty, and Brickell is eager to please. Brickell provides first-rate shopping and dining in an open-air environment, easy access to entertainment venues, and luxurious condominiums with scenic water views. The question is not, “Why Brickell?” but rather, “Why aren’t you here?”

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Brickell does not disappoint when it comes to finding premier restaurants and lounges. LPM Restaurant & Bar provides a taste of France in the heart of Brickell. This upscale restaurant has a great ambiance and a unique European flair. The exquisite French cuisine and impeccable service make it a local favorite.

For a completely different look and feel, there is Sexy Fish. The Asian fusion restaurant is extravagant, visually stunning, and a great place to meet friends for cocktails. Its colorful underwater theme practically begs for a photo. Komodo is another hotspot that locals rave about. The trendy restaurant offers Asian-inspired dishes and has a VIP lounge atmosphere. Musicians and actors have been known to stop by, adding to Komodo’s glamorous reputation.

Enjoy a tender, mouthwatering steak at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Fleming’s is a short walk from Brickell City Centre. It has a modern, open feel and, of course, phenomenal steaks. If you would rather have Italian fare, the famed Cipriani has a location in Brickell near the river. This elegant eatery has a classic look and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase a picturesque view of the water.

Things to Do

Brickell is the place to be for nighttime entertainment. Marion transforms from a fine-dining restaurant into a party palace once the sun goes down. Between the DJ, the music, and the cocktails, fun is guaranteed. Sugar is the happening rooftop and lounge bar at the hotel EastMiami. It has beautiful city views in every direction, and the locale’s plants and trees give it a calming, zen-like appeal. Attached to the hotel is the Brickell City Centre, an open-concept mall with shops, restaurants, a movie theater, office space, and residential areas. It covers nine acres, and locals love exploring everything the complex offers.

The Underline is a former bike path transformed into a full-scale park. It lies under the elevated Metrorail. The portion in Brickell has been completed and includes a butterfly garden, an exercise section, and basketball courts.

Brickell Key Park is at the southern end of Brickell Key and boasts a small playground with swings, several benches, and a walking path around the island. Some come here to exercise or walk their dogs, and others come to de-stress while taking in lovely views of Brickell and Biscayne Bay.
